The third edition of STRANGER WITH MY FACE took place from August 21-24, 2014 and featured a program of outstanding short and feature films, including the retrospective opening night film Celia, with director Ann Turner and star Rebecca Smart in attendance. The international guest filmmaker was Mattie Do from Laos, screening her film Chanthaly.

The festival again featured two production components that were open to both male and female participants: the Tasmanian Gothic Short Script Challenge and the 48-Hour ‘Tasploitation’ Challenge. Another key component was the Mary Shelley Symposium, which includes talks and workshops by leading genre experts.

The festival’s principal supporters in 2014 were Screen Tasmania and and Events Tasmania.
