48-Hour Tasploitation Challenge Awards Night
Stranger With My Face 2013 begins with the results of an inaugural event this year, the 48-Hour Tasploitation Challenge, supported by Events Tasmania.
Three interstate teams, 11 Tasmanian teams…. One weekend of creativity and mayhem!
The films will be screened at the Screening and Awards Night on 7 March at at the Peacock Theatre in Hobart. Arrive and get a drink before the event starts from 7.30, doors close at 8 pm.
The judges are horror filmmaker Ursula Dabrowsky, Kirsha Kaechele, Abi Binning from Wide Angle Tasmania, Ben Hellwig from Monster Pictures and Andrew McPhail from Screen Tasmania. Lucky door prizes and fun!
The awards to be awarded include:
- Screen Tasmanian Award for Best Film (includes $500 cash)
- Wide Angle Tasmania Best New Filmmaker Award
- Cooper Screen Academy Best Performance Award
- Tasmaniana Award
- Best Fright
- Best Special FX
- Most Innovative Horror Concept
