Jason was a first time participant in the Tasmanian Gothic Short Script Challenge in 2016Jason Reed is a screenwriter whose scripts have been long and shortlisted for a variety of awards including the AWGs Insite Award, Lorne Film Screenwriter Award and Screen Queensland’s Projector Program. He also received development funding from Screen Queensland for Help, his debut feature. He loves creating dark material that subverts genre conventions. He spent over a decade working in the Brisbane cinema industry. He worked as a projectionist for the Brisbane International Film Festival, has written for Filmink, Rave and Scene Magazines and judged on the horror panel for the Aurealis Awards. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Film & Television.
