Damian was a first time participant in the Tasmanian Gothic Short Script Challenge in 2016.Before becoming a screenwriter Damian worked in medical research for the Bionics Institute and Victoria University. He then completed a Masters of Screen writing with the Victorian College of the Arts, during which time he completed his first feature screenplay Mitosis. Since then he has worked with Renegade Films on their TV series Ideas Factory and Hoodlum Entertainment on their web series The Hangover Detective and other web content. He has also been shortlisted for the Matchbox Writers Placement and the Catapult Film Program.
