Catherine was a first time participant in the Tasmanian Gothic Short Script Challenge in 2016. Her short film (as producer), Tahune’s Beast, was selected for Stranger With My Face in 2012.Catherine is an Oznadian (Canadian-Australian) filmmaker and registered nurse. Her varied skill-set comes in handy on-set: she can write you an action sequence then patch you up if it goes awry. Catherine’s writing comfort zone is dramedy but she has experience in other genres. She produced the Tropfest short-listed film Tahune’s Beast and acted as 1st AD/Production manager on the recent Raw Nerve film Waiting for Angel. Often described as “bubbly” and “cheery,” Catherine has enjoyed the chance to write something darker. It’s those nice girls you have to worry about!
