Catherine S. McMullen is a writer and film & TV professional. In 2015, her sci-fi pilot Living Metal was shortlisted for an AWGIE Award for ‘Best Unproduced Screenplay,’ and she was included on the 2016 IF List as one of the Australian screen industry’s ‘Rising Talents.’ Catherine has been a short-listed finalist for many other national and international awards, including the AWG’s ‘What Happens Next’ and ‘Think Inside The Box’ competitions and a Top 10 finalist in Scriptapalooza’s TV Pilot competition. Recently, her sci-fi/horror feature Driven was nominated for the Lorne Film Festival’s $10,000 Screenwriting Award. Her fiction work has been published in Nightmare, Aurealis and Interzone, and her short story The Nest was nominated for a Shadows Award from the Australian Horror Writers’ Association. She is a lifelong nerd and former MMO addict, and enjoys books, TV, movies and games, especially if they’re about robots or dragons.
