Play reading: The Thirteenth Mother

  • THE THIRTEENTH MOTHER

A rehearsed reading of a new play by Carrie McLean
    • Loud Mouth Theatre Co.
“Franz Kafka meets Margaret Atwood in a pub, downing shots of Reproduction”

In a post-apocalyptic island world where you need a license to breed, where 99 per cent of natural-born babies carry a deadly virus, Ella discovers she is fertile with virus-free eggs. She’s a wanted woman, pulled between religious, corporate and governing bodies.

The Thirteenth Mother is the story of the birth of a rebel leader, fighting for freedom and the right to choose.
