Our last festival was in 2017 and we’re hoping to be able to return in late 2018 or early 2019.

But at the moment we’re critically short of funding…

To give you some background, Stranger With My Face was founded in 2012 and five festivals later we’re as passionate about highlighting and celebrating the work of women genre directors as ever, our audience is growing, and the demand for the event - from both filmmakers and the general public - is crystal clear.

In fact, we were recently included in MovieMaker Magazine’s list of the World’s 15 Bloody Best Genre Fests, 2018, which is an incredible honour for an event of this scale located in a remote location.

But appropriate financial backing is not in place. So we’re taking a hiatus to research other avenues and seek new partnerships.

If you’re interested in discussing sponorship or other ideas, get in touch!
