Stranger With My Face highlights compelling new work in the horror genre by women, running the gamut from comedy to dark fantasy to psychological stories and experimental filmmaking.

The line-up in 2014 included outstanding short films from Australia and around the world and the “Mavericks Showcase” of indie feature-length films.

These are films designed to provoke discussion and reflection and many of the filmmakers were available for post-screening Q & As and conversation.

In addition, the festival is proud to present the strange, intense, silly and horrific results of our second annual 48-Hour Tasploitation Challenge.

The festival is assisted by Screen Tasmania, with additional support from Events Tasmania for this year’s feature film showcase.
